The Unit of Pharmaceutics and Drug delivery (Université Catholique de Louvain, Brussels, Belgium) aims at developing new pharmaceutical systems to deliver either non-soluble drugs or drugs of biotechnological origin by a multidisciplinary approach.
The project aims at developing 3D implants delivering growth factors, drugs and/or cells for spinal cord regeneration that i) provide sustained delivery of bioactive factors, ii) support survival, infiltration and proliferation of implanted and local cells, and iii) support neurite outgrowth.
