Ian Alexander

Ian Alexander is Professor in Paediatrics and Molecular Medicine at the University of Sydney, Senior staff Specialist in Genetics and Metabolic Disease at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) and Head of the Gene Therapy Research Unit at the Children’s Medical Research Institute, a joint initiative with SCHN. He has a longstanding research interest in genetic diseases of childhood, AAV-mediated gene transfer, the liver as a therapeutic target and the challenges of human clinical translation.
