Laura Beswick

Dr Laura Beswick is the Head of Health Economics and Market Access at Cell and Gene Therapy

Catapult. She has degrees in medicine and translational pharmacology from King’s College London,

working as an NHS doctor before studying postgraduate economics. She specialises in the market

access of cell and gene therapies and has published in economic modelling methods, evidence

generation, and healthcare system readiness. Laura enjoys helping early-stage developers

understand how their therapies will be used in clinical practice, how they will benefit patients within

the context of each healthcare system, and how this relates to the evidence required for economic

evaluation and value-based pricing.
