I am a Group Leader at the SR-TIGET in Milan. Capitalizing on my expertise in the field of genome integrity and cellular senescence, we seek to dissect the cellular responses in hematopoietic cells upon genetic engineering. We employ quantitative imaging, cutting-edge genomic technologies and take advantage of uniquely available gene editing platforms and primary samples to identify the molecular determinants that promote detrimental responses in genetically-engineered cells for safer and clinically broader gene therapy applications
