Pietro Genovese

Dr. Pietro Genovese, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and Principal Investigator at the Gene Therapy Program of Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorder Center. He pioneered genome editing tools to develop safe and effective cancer-adoptive immunotherapy or promote novel applications for human hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) gene therapy. His current efforts aim to move these advanced genetic engineering strategies toward effective treatments for inherited and acquired hematologic diseases.
