Alejandra Gutierrez-Guerrero

I got my PhD in biomedicine by the University of Granada in 2017. My thesis was comparing different gene editing tools (CRISPR/Cas9 and Zinc Finger nucleases) with retroviral vectors for gene therapy in a primary immunodeficiency (Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome). From 2018 to 2020 I was a postdoctoral associate at Weill Cornell medical college in New York where I was involved in creating a CRISPR/Cas9 based inflammatory bowel disease in vitro model to study commensal gut microbiota response. Since 2020 I am a Postdoctoral Associate at CIRI at ENS, Lyon where I am involved in the different projects: Improvement of expression in receptor for lentiviral vectors for transduction of hematopoietic stem cells, efficiency of lentiviral vectors for CD4 CAR-T cells and Antioxidant therapy for age-related macular degeneration.
