Martina Marinello is a R&D Scientist at the UMR-S 951, Genethon, France. She obtained her PhD in Neuroscience from Sorbonne University, Paris. In 2016, she joined the Gene-based Therapies for Congenital Myopathies team headed by Dr. Ana Buj Bello as post-doctorate to work on Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) disease. Her research activities focus on developing an alternative AAV-based therapeutic approach by the replacement of the human SMN1 gene in a preclinical mouse model.
