Steven Pollard
University of Edinburgh
Steve has published widely in the areas of stem cell biology, cancer biology, reprogramming, genome editing and mammalian synthetic biology. His research interests focus on transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms of neural stem cell self-renewal and differentiation, and how these are deregulated in cancer. His training and early research was based at University of Cambridge (Austin Smith lab) and the UCL Cancer Institute. He relocated his lab to Edinburgh in 2014, supported by a Cancer Research UK Senior Fellowship, and is currently Professor of Stem Cell and Cancer Biology.
