Alessandro Prigione

Dr. Alessandro Prigione is a tenured Associate Professor of Pediatric Metabolic Medicine in the Department of General Pediatrics at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf Germany. His lab employs induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and derived neurons and brain organoids to develop approaches for disease modeling and drug discovery targeting rare incurable neurological disorders affecting mitochondria. Dr. Prigione is member of AFM-Telethon Scientific Council, and the current Editor-in-Chief of the Elsevier journal Stem Cell Research.
