Denise Sabatino, Ph.D. is a Research Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Division of Hematology and the Perelman Center for Cellular and Molecular Therapeutics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Sabatino's research focuses on factor VIII and gene-based therapeutics for hemophilia A. The scope of her work includes characterization of novel factor VIII protein variants with enhanced function, targeted transgene expression, studies of the immune response to the transgene, and understanding the fate of the AAV vector DNA after gene delivery.
