Francesco Saverio Tedesco

Prof. Tedesco is a clinician-scientist with expertise in paediatric neuromuscular diseases and regeneration. He received the 2015 ESGCT Young Investigator Award, followed by an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship and Lectureship in Paediatric Neurology, an ERC Starting Grant, the 2020 Simon Newell Investigator of the Year award by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and the 2021 MacKeith Prize by the British Paediatric Neurology Association. He leads the Horizon Europe international consortium “MAGIC - Next-generation models and genetic therapies for rare neuromuscular disease”. The overall goal of the Tedesco laboratory (www.tedescolab.org) is the translation of advanced modelling strategies to develop novel genetic therapies to improve outcomes for children with neuromuscular disorders.
